Ukrainian authorities have reportedly shut down file sharing site Ex.ua over alleged copyright violations, just weeks after US authorities pushed to shutter Megaupload.

A spokesman with the Interior Ministry suggests the site ..

Softpedia: "Shutter 0.88 comes with an improved uploading mechanism by implementing a bunch of new image hosting services upload plugins right in the application."

Microsoft is calling it quits on Hohm, its free power-monitoring service for consumers. The decision to shutter Hohm resulted in part because it didn't fit the business model of the Windows Embedded Business segment, according to a developer who worked on the project.

Experimenting with GNU/Linux: "In fact, I have replaced it as my default screen shot tool. When I press Print Screen on my keyboard,shutter pops up and does a nice job."
