The common wisdom around Silicon Valley for the last twenty years or so, has been that companies here need to be much more active in Washington DC, and really should be more active on the lobbying front.

The classic example of a tech company that didn't pay much attention to lobbying was Microsoft.

We've talked for years about the blurring of the "work-life" balance thanks to our always connected world. These days, it's not uncommon for people to do some "life" aspects at work (online shopping, banking, etc.) while also doing plenty of "work" things while at home (checking email, creating presentations, etc.).
