Contrary to popular opinion, Android isn’t beating the iPhone

If you regularly read technology publications on the web, then you’re familiar with the quarterly battle that rages between iPhone fans and the Android army.

These happen when the latest sets of sales figures are released and proclaim which mobile platform is currently at the top of the heap.

Recently Google’s mobile OS has been handed the crown, having finally overtaken iOS as the dominant platform in the smartphone category.
