My friend Kore and I will be speaking about “Document based databases: CouchDB” at the International PHP Conference in Mainz this week.

After our amazing roadtrip (see previous blog entries for trip reports), it was time for the first day of the conference.

Or actually, day 0, as the first 'real' day would be on tuesday when the main conference starts.

If you've got a spare 40 minutes to an hour, it's worth watching patent attorney Stephan Kinsella's presentation: Rethinking Intellectual Property Completely, as given in March.
