There have been a number of attempts over the past few years to revive the sagging news weekly magazine Newsweek (including an amusing attempt to stop being thought of as a news weekly, despite the name).

There's also the still confusing merger with the website The Daily Beast. Still, old media tends to live on well past its sell-by date, as you can usually find enough advertisers who will pay just based on name recognition alone.
