Contrary to popular opinion, Android isn’t beating the iPhone

If you regularly read technology publications on the web, then you’re familiar with the quarterly battle that rages between iPhone fans and the Android army.

These happen when the latest sets of sales figures are released and proclaim which mobile platform is currently at the top of the heap.

Recently Google’s mobile OS has been handed the crown, having finally overtaken iOS as the dominant platform in the smartphone category.

avatarIn 2007 Ice Age 2 was the first Blu-ray film to appear on BitTorrent.

At the time, the number of people who owned a Blu-ray player was still very low, and the 22GB download was mostly seen as a curiosity.

Now, fast forward three years and Blu-ray has become mainstream.

Not only have sales skyrocketed, but also the number of unauthorized downloads on BitTorrent and other file-sharing networks.
