Each of the last two version of Adobe’s Photoshop included important content-aware features. Photoshop Creative Suite 4 introduced content-aware scale and CS5 brought content-aware fill.

These were headline features, exactly the sort of shiny new technology that Adobe relies on to catch the eye of graphic designers and photographers who just spent hundreds of dollars on the software 18 months ago.
