Insight Community Participation Directly Through Techdirt

Techdirt  Wed, 10/15/2008 - 13:30

As you hopefully read in my last post about our new branding, Floor64 has separated out the Insight Community brand from the Techdirt blog.

However, that doesn't mean the two won't still work together happily. In fact, we're also launching a new effort today, that will allow Insight Community cases to appear directly within Techdirt.

You will see the first such integrated Insight Community case on the site in a short while.

For the past four years, I have put a lot of work into executing a strategic plan that is tangentially connected with our conferences.
You see, when we started organizing conferences I noticed that there was a small core group of people—normally speakers—that tended to stick together all the time.

They knew each other from the mailing lists, and conferences were a great opportunity to meet and catch up.
As a business person, this used to irk me considerably.

2008-2009 PEAR Group Elections - David Coallier

Planet PHP  Tue, 05/06/2008 - 14:46

It is now this time of the year again where the PEAR Group throws in the PEAR Group Nominations. The nominated people will then be called for votes by the community and 7 lucky (even though luck has nothing to do with it) will be elected as the new PEAR Group member for the year 2008-2009.

So we call for the community participation (EVERYONE from the PHP Community) to consider the nomination and start thinking about who you would like to see behind PEAR or even if you would be ready to take the challenge.
