In this new post to the Symfony Blog, Fabien Potencier shares some of his thoughts about the Symfony community and tosses out an idea of a way to "gameify" the process to let community members proudly show off their level of involvement.

In a quick post Ruslan Yakushev points out that the PHP Manager for IIS is now available in five different languages to make it even simpler for the non-English speakers out there to use.

It seems that plenty of people are still having trouble understanding that most things posted to Twitter are posted in public.

Apparently a local newspaper in Michigan ran into some angry community members when a writer for the paper dared to quote some Twitter comments without first contacting the people in question for permission.

Some six weeks after he was hired to be the new chief executive of news aggregator Digg.com, Matt Williams greeted community members for the first time today, apologized for the site’s botched attempt at a redesign, and announced officially that several old features would be returning.

In the wake of this year's TEKX conference (held in Chicago lat week) several of the PHP community members that were able to attend have posted summaries of their time there.
