Opera’s brand might not be as well-known as Google Chrome or Firefox, but that’s never stopped the Norwegian browser maker from doggedly pursuing the leaders of the pack.

And there are two areas where Opera has firmly established itself as a force to be reckoned with: featurephones and consumer electronics.

Opera has just released a beta of the upcoming version of their mobile browser, Opera Mobile 9.7 .

It’s currently only available for devices running Windows Mobile (the stable version of Opera Mobile also supports Symbian S60 and UIQ devices), and unfortunately doesn’t yet bring the feature everyone is waiting for: full flash support.
