On the Test.ical.ly blog there's a new post looking ahead to the next release of PHP, 5.4, and what it could mean for some of the popular tools out there - specifically Symfony and Doctrine.

Softpedia: "Mandriva, through Eugeni Dodonov, announced on the last day of February the immediate availability for testing of the second Alpha version of the upcoming Mandriva 2011 Linux operating system."

Chris Jones has officially launched the latest OCI8 (Oracle) drivers for PHP - version 1.4.0 Alpha:
