A Flood Of Android Phones Coming This Year

android-logoSpeaking at the Google I/O conference, Google’s Director of Mobile Platforms Andy Rubin said that 18 or perhaps even more Android phones are coming to the market , from as much as 9 different manufacturers, in 2009.

Is this the Android renaissance we’ve been waiting for? Possibly, because so far the selection of Android phones has been tiny, compared to what we expected.
