Bing Outage Due to Configuration Change Error

Yesterday, Microsoft’s search engine Bing was down for a period of time, displaying only a cryptic error message to the perplexed users.

From what we’ve seen, the outage didn’t last very long – half an hour, perhaps – but it was long enough to raise eyebrows and echo through the blogosphere.

Now, Microsoft has issued an explanation on their blog , claiming the outage was due to a configuration change, that was rolled back...
